Following recent post by Andreas about the Biggest drawing in world, bloggers were fast to slam it as a hoax and now they have supporting evidence from DHL and the likes — would be a shame if it is confirmed as a hoax, it was definitely an exciting and compelling idea.

- Lots of advertising these days (in the UK at least) employs a lot of techniques and looks which are great from an aesthetic point of view or novelty but mean little to the product. This advert for VW Golf hit a chord with me and I think it’s perfect. It’s about the car, it’s use and what part it plays in peoples lives. Its also a really cool idea that makes a great sound piece. For me they got this one bang on. (Sound by Paul Hartnoll formerly of Orbital, Ad by DDB)

Sometimes it’s good to look back instead of looking forward, and that’s why I have a lot of respect for pioneers such as 71 year old Lance Wyman. Lance along with others has been one of the many driving forces over the last 5 decades strengthening and challening how an identity works and speaks to its consumers. You can view his site along with an interesting blog here
