image-1.png During the OFFF we had the chance to see the Fluid.nl presentation. Sadly due of internet issues he didn’t had a chance to present ” Spectra“. Hopefully it s live now and definitly incredible.

Hello Hello everybody. Andreas asked if I wanted to become an author here at R&R, and I thought it sounded fun, so here I am. I’ll do my best to post some unlikely news.

picture-13.png - Lots of advertising these days (in the UK at least) employs a lot of techniques and looks which are great from an aesthetic point of view or novelty but mean little to the product. This advert for VW Golf hit a chord with me and I think it’s perfect. It’s about the car, it’s use and what part it plays in peoples lives. Its also a really cool idea that makes a great sound piece. For me they got this one bang on. (Sound by Paul Hartnoll formerly of Orbital, Ad by DDB)

picture-41.pngSometimes it’s good to look back instead of looking forward, and that’s why I have a lot of respect for pioneers such as 71 year old Lance Wyman. Lance along with others has been one of the many driving forces over the last 5 decades strengthening and challening how an identity works and speaks to its consumers. You can view his site along with an interesting blog here

ron-van-der-ende.jpg He builds his structures out of salvaged wood. The color of the wood is never changed by Ron. The site is a little tough to navigate, but the work is great.

Its EverydayTwo of my good ol’ friends, the renowed type-obsterician Dr. Hardisco joined forces with flash-ninja Iashido to bring you all It’s Everyday, a delicious serving of works spanning identity, some clever brand-damage, web and a few type-delicatessen.

Dalek Check out the work of James Marshall, aka Dalek, who is holding an event at Washington’s Irvine Contemporary. He also recently did this crazy spot for Fuel via Transistor Studios.

picture-3.png The ever changing graphic foundations are brought into the third dimension and are thus made accessible to a wider public. 5000pt typefaces collide with speeding time-intervals only to be thrown back onto massive pattern-screens. The Neubau Exhibition.

ut2.jpg I’m always a sucker for the video sites. This one is well done and provides a few moments of amusement. UT LOOP Uniqlo seems to always put some power behind their online campaigns.
