I totally agree with you. The 2014 World Cup represent the dirty side of Brazil. I am tired to see the corruption in all the levels of our society. It’s a shame!
When I saw the logo, I realize how things can be at tragedy in Brazil. Starting from the logo to everything else to come until 2014.

I do think this logo represents what this next world cup will be. A shame for us.
It’s a shame that things like this still happening. I can’t believe people still doing corrupt business with Nizan… sad… I feel ashamed of being Brazilian when it comes to advertising and Marketing…. :/

Oh geez…
Is there any surprise in this story ?
Anything that FIFA organization touches turn to this same story… a money story… this is it… sure it’s a shame but nowadays we’re surrounded by those situations….
Greetings from corrupted France !!!

This is a little sad. An open competition, with open discussion would have been amazing, but this doesn’t surprise me. I think other comments are quite right…wherever FIFA go, money follows. Great site by the way!

Give me 15 minutes to construct a new and much more better logo than this s*it. French agency? It’s a joke?
As the first South African to comment, let me say that most of you are feeling the same things that a lot of us had to go through as well (though I’m not that clued up on who designed our logo).
It would seem - from some of your postings - that Brazil suffers a little from what is common the world over… corruption. And trust me, we in South Africa have exactly the same problem. Wherever large amounts of money and politics interweave… there will be crooks. And let’s face it - FIFA is probably one of the most powerful brands in the world with billions at their disposal (and intent on making trillions). I mean, these guys basically owned the country for 31 days…!
Either way, I feel we had an amazing and incredible World Cup event, and I hope and pray that Brazil will be able to say the same after your moment is over - and that hopefully things will be a little better in terms of corruption etc, from here on in.
All the best, from Africa!

Our agency was called to enter the competition hold by FIFA, along with 18 other Brazillian agencies and Studios…each could propose up to 5 options…we safely figured that FIFA would have at least 60 options to choose from…when we learned tha this “french” studio had won, we knew instantly that there was something fishy going on….I’m sorry to say that, really am…but some things never change…
ps. not to blow my own horn, but our logos where a lot better than this crap…
ps2. also, this logo violates in a number of ways, the design grid that was imposed to the participants of this competition…
ps3. at least we got paid and made a couple of trips to RIO …it seems that money is never a problem to this people. All the best, from Sao Paulo, Brazil
