Simon Hoegsberg, a 32-year-old photographer from Denmark has spent the last 17 months making a photograph that is 100 meters long (100 m x 78 cm), and is about the uniqueness of ‘ordinary’ people. The title of the photograph is ‘We’re All Gonna Die - 100 meters of existence’. I’ve been following Simon since The Thought Project and I really do admire his work.

BBDK (Bob Borden & Duane King) have recently launched a very tasty site for Luigi Bormioli. The navigation is smashing, and the site is made completely without Flash. “Designed and developed by BBDK in conjunction with User Experience Strategist Ian Coyle of Superheroes, the story of this site’s development is a perfect example of how, with careful management, everyone can get their wants and needs satisfied when you’re doing the right thing.”

For those who haven’t a suitable calendar yet berlin based designstudio Codeluxe developed a sophisticated A1 size poster schedule. DataLog is a bilateral calendar printed on translucent paper whereas both sides are interdependent, in form and in content. While a calendar for 2009 is printed on the front, the backside shows statistical data of the Codeluxe studio from the past year. They also have a nice site.

I really like the new Moodstream from GettyImages. It let’s you set your mood and then shows fullscreen images and music that correlates to the mood. They call it a “powerful brainstorming tool designed to take you in inspiring, unexpected directions.” Take it for a spin!
